You would not add the one when searching on a changed value, that's only for searching on absolute values. Run the second search for "Increased by." and enter 2. Then let's say your strength increases by 1. Search for an unknown value, wait until your strength increases (or better yet, run several "unchanged value" second searches before your strength increases. For example, let's say your strength is 5. If you're having trouble finding, say, experience points or character attributes such as strength, first search for an unknown value, wait until the value increases, then search for "Increased by." value times two.
